Meet Kendal
After spending winters skiing in Northern Michigan, I knew I wanted to end up here after graduating from Central Michigan University, so when applying for events internships, I narrowed my focus to Northwest Michigan and ultimately ended up in Traverse City. I spent the first 7 years of my career working in hospitality, event management, and wedding planning and coordination, all here in the Traverse City area.
More recently, I have made a career change and currently work as an Executive Assistant in the Human Resources Department for Traverse City Area Public Schools as I am also working towards my Master of Science in Administration – Human Resources Administration degree at CMU.
When not working, you can find me exploring the Northern Michigan outdoors including, running, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing.
My husband and I live in downtown Traverse City and enjoy frequenting the vibrant local food and beer scene here downtown. Some of our favorite spots are those that we can walk to from home – The Filling Station, The Little Fleet, and 7Monks. We are expecting our first child and are looking forward to raising our growing family here in TC!

INSPIRATION FOR MOVING HERE:
Although we are a small community, Traverse City has so much to offer. I have absolutely loved building my career and family here over the last 8.5 years and look forward to calling Traverse City home for years to come. When I first moved here, I had no family or friends in the area, and have since built a community and tight circle of friends.
