Meet kelsey
Growing up in Michigan, I had always thought of Traverse City as a tourist destination. My family visited the area, but I wasn’t aware of how special it was until 2020.
After moving and spending time in Colorado, my partner and I came back to Michigan so that I could start a job with Google in Ann Arbor. As avid outdoor enthusiasts, we found ourselves making trips to Traverse City to take advantage of the year-round outdoor amenities such as skiing, hiking and snorkeling in the bay!
As soon as I received the “green light” to temporarily work remotely during COVID, my partner and I packed our bags and scooted up to Traverse City to give it a shot. Our love deepened for the area after learning about the local food scene, creative businesses and welcoming community. It was then that we decided to build a life here. I switched jobs to a remote-friendly company and my partner ended up securing a job in nearby Suttons Bay as a teacher.
It’s a privilege to enjoy what Traverse City has to offer on a daily basis. From the turquoise water, experiencing yoga in the park at sunrise, hitting a new trail, or meeting up with friends at a local eatery – the opportunities are endless. It’s like being on vacation…every day.
